Union Minister encourages MBSF's and MCF's fighters
Nay Pyi Taw,14 June ---Chairman of Myanmar National Sports Committee Union Minister for Sports and Hotels and Tourism UTint Hsan viewed sport elites, who were undergoing training for 26th SEA Games ,at Myanmar Billiard and Snooker Federation (MBSF) at Nay Pyi Taw Development Affairs Billiard and Snooker Hall in Zabuthiri Township here today.
A responsible person of MBSF gave account of game tyoes to be shot by MBSF in the coming SEA Games . Selected Myanmar billiard players made demonstrations of their skills.
The Union Minister proceeded to Myanmar Chess Federation to view tentatively selected chess players training to take part in 26th SEA Games.
The Union Minister heard a report presented by a responsible person on rules of ASEAN Chess which is first ever in the SEA Games' history.
Later, the Union Minister provided cash assistance for manager , coach and players.

Billiard and snooker contest on 25-26 June
NAY PYI TAW, 12 June-To mark Olympic Day 2011, billiard and snooker contest will be held on a grand scale at training hall of Myanmar Billiard and Snooker Federation in Aungsan stadium on 25-26 June.
Handsome prizes will be awarded. The contest organized by MBSF includes 100 UP Best of 5 round robin and single snooker contest. Those wishing to take part in the contest may register at MBSF.

Ministries plant saplings, release fingerlings
Nay Pyi Taw,8 june: The Ministry of Sports held its sixth monsoon tree-growing and fingerling s releasing ceremony at its office here this morning.
Union Minister for Sports and for Hotels and Torism U Tint Hsan and Deputy Minister U Aye Myint Kyu planed a sapling each of Seintalone mango and viewed the precess of growing Seintalone mango sapling.
The Minister and staff set free 24,000 fingerlings into the dam near the office.
So far, the Ministry of Sports has planted 11,646 sapling of trees.

Monthly sports games to start in July
Nay Pyi Taw, 7 Iune Union Minister for Sports and for Hotels and Torism U Tin Hsan said monthly sports tournaments will be organized starting from July and monthly best players will be awarded while visiting training camps for XXVISEA Games of Myanma Sepak Takaraw Federation and Myanmar Table Tennis Federation at Paunglaung Gymanasium in Nay Pyi Taw Pyinmana morning.
Athletes exhibited their performances before the union minister who then gave advice and presented cash assestances.

Lt-Gen Thein Sein this morning saw off the members of
Myanma Tatmadaw football and volleyball teams led by Col
Aung San Tin of the Adjutant-General's Office of the
Ministry of Defence, who will participate in the friendly
tournaments to be held in India, at Mingaladon Airbase.

Feb-Yangon Division Peace and Development Council
Chairman's Trophy inter-district women's football
tournament for 2004 was opened at the sports ground of
Myanma Railways in Insein Township, Yangon North District
at 3.30 pm today, attended by Chairman of Yangon Division
Peace and Development Council Commander of Yangon Command
Maj-Gen Myint Swe and wife Patron of Yangon Division
Organization for Women Affairs Daw Khin Thet Htay. First,
Maj-Gen Myint Swe made a speech. Next, athletes took a
sports oath. In the opener, Yangon South District women's
team played against Yangon North District women's team.
